
Generation of fast electrons in pulsed discharge plasma in helium

The results of experimental studies of the distribution function of fast electrons under conditions of non-equilibrium plasma of a pulsed discharge in helium are presented. It was established by various methods that at the initial stage of the discharge, when the reduced electric field exceeds the critical value, a beam of fast electrons is generated. The beam energy depends on the applied voltage to the discharge gap, and helium pressure.
