Ion nitriding in a magnetic field has been studied. The influence of the magnetic field on glow discharge characteristics, structural-phase composition of the modified layer and surface microhardness of steels R6M5 has been analyzed. The probe current-voltage characteristic of the glow discharge inthe magnetic field has been obtained.
