The paper proves the urgency of the integration of information systems (IS) on the properties of inorganic substances and materials (PISM). It is shown that consolidation is possible only on the basis of the problem domain formalization. The basic definitions are introduced and the formalization of the IS on PISM content is proposed on the basis of three models: verbal, set-theoretic and ontological.
