In the present work, the specific features of the simulation of hydrogen dissociation on the surface of a heated wire in a resting gas by the direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method were studied. The influence of the boundary conditions on the processes occurring near the wire, in particular, on the rate of atomic hydrogen production, was studied. The obtained data were compared with the experimental data.
