The author briefly tells about the creative activities of the commissioning editor of the journal “Computer Optics”, the leading designer of the Image Processing Systems Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences (IPSI RAS) Jakov Ye. Takhtarov - known specialist in scientific publishing. The article analyses the contribution of jubilee in the formation of the image of scientific and educational institutions of Samara and design of scientific results of the IPSI RAS.
