The paper deals with the effect of random perturbations on critical phenomena in a dynamic model of an electrochemical reaction. Classical theories predict that solutions of differential equations will leave any neighbourhood of a stable limit cycle if white noise is added to the system. The effect of external disturbances on the limit cycle is investigated, the sensitivity of the cycle to the noise is found. An analysis of the noise-induced transitions is performed.
