This paper presents probe techniques and sensors used in experimental studies of MHD-flow and heat transfer of liquid metal (LM) in pipes and channels, hosted by the mercury stands, which is part of the MHD complex of MPEI-JIHT RAS. A detailed description of the correlation and conduction velocity measurement methods, as well as the results obtained with their use, are given.
