A phenomenological model of the formation of phase nuclei by the vapor condensation mechanism over the metal melting zone is formulated. A multifractal analysis of the structure of steels manufactured from powders of different chemical composition by additive technology is presented. It is shown that the solidification of the molten metal is determined by the technological scheme of the selective process.
