Education in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) plays an important role in the development of national construction and defense. Among subjects at High schools, Chemistry is one in the field of natural science with many applications. However, nowadays, despite many achievements, the reality of teaching chemistry at High school has showed a lot of inadequacies. This article addresses some of the problems in the development of problem solving ability in chemistry-teaching at high schools in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
