In this work, we investigated and calculated the porosity of silicon dioxide microparticles in opal-like photonic crystals using spectral photometry. Photonic crystals were obtained by vertical deposition of a solution containing particles of silicon dioxide, which were obtained by the method of Stober-Fink-Bohn. The refractive index was calculated using the Bragg-Wulff law.
