The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out accelerating the construction of a manufacturing power, accelerating the development of advanced manufacturing, and promoting the deep integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the real economy. This article focuses on the advanced manufacturing strategy of typical industrialized countries, and lays special stress on the analysis of industry 4.0 in Germany, the re-industrialization in the US, and the development and application of artificial intelligence in Japan. This article also puts forward relevant suggestion for promoting the transformation and upgrading of China’s manufacturing.
