To solve the contradiction between speed and performance in vehicle tracking, this paper designs a short-term and fast tracking algorithm which integrates vehicle distance information. Millimeter wave radar is used to get accurate range information to optimize the scale of vehicle, so as to achieve fast and accurate vehicle tracking. The effectiveness of the algorithm in scale optimization is proved by experiments.
