A dialectical approach incorporating both nomothetic and idiographic perspectives is proposed as a possible solution to the problem of concept validation encountered in industrial psychological and industrial sociological investigations by providing them with a more complete criterion of validity. The use of the proposed method is illustrated in an empirical research investigation.
