This study proposes a mathematical model and a technique for the electrodynamic analysis of a microstrip antenna with a chiral substrate based on the left‐handed spirals. It describes the design of such an antenna and presents its impedance characteristics for various parameters. It has been shown that the use of a chiral substrate improves the mass‐dimensional characteristics of the microstrip antennas.
