Recently, significant progress has been made in the design and manufacture of various aircraft, such as military and civilian transporters, helicopters, UAVs etc. Thus, research of lightning protection of aircraft becomes critical. Lightning strikes are unavoidable, but measures can be taken to reduce the negative effects. The understanding of the distribution of the electromagnetic environment inside the aircraft is beneficial to the rational layout of the electronic equipment and cables in the cabin. Based on the CST simulation platform, an aircraft model is used as a small system‐level simulation carrier to simulate the situation when the aircraft is under the EMP radiation. Analysis includes the transient voltage and current induced on various cables. A reasonable cable layout scheme is proposed based on the analysis of the internal electromagnetic environment of the body, thereby improving the flight reliability of the aircraft.
