The optimal scheduling strategy of the active distribution system (ADS) is the core technology required to actively manage distributed clean energy resources (DERs) and to guarantee the safe and economical operation of ADS. This study presents an optimal dispatching model for the ADN on the basis of ADS itself and DERs features, whose purposes are making full use of clean energy resources, improving voltage quality and minimising the operational expenditures in a complete scheduling cycle by means of controllable DERs output. For the non‐linear model, the brain storm optimisation algorithm is applied to solve the optimal scheduling model of ADS. A large number of case studies using the improved IEEE33 nodes system demonstrate the validity of the proposed the strategy.
