On the basis of the development status of large‐scale terrestrial photovoltaic (PV) power plants and distributed PV power stations, this study analyses the existing contents and current development of International Electrotechnical Commission standards in the field of solar PV energy system, and gives advice of standard‐writing work in fields of planning, design, construction, technical requirements, test specifications, scheduling, management, maintenance etc.
