This study presents a simple applicable methodology to directly calculate maximum distribution generation (DG) capacity in radial low‐voltage (LV) feeder without leading to steady‐state voltage and current violations. The proposed methodology considers the phase mutual inductance and line losses to ensure the accuracy of the results. In order to validate the accuracy and feasibility of the proposed approach, the comparative analysis of power flow tool and proposed algorithm is carried out based on the three‐phase radial LV feeder. The calculated value of maximum DG capacity can be used to support the DG planning and grid safety operation with DG integration.
