This study presents a systematic block diagram for a peak current mode controlled flyback converter to investigate its dynamic properties at high switching frequencies. At low frequencies, the proposed block diagram approximates the converter current loop to a current source. To verify the proposed model, a flyback circuit was tested. The control‐to‐output transfer function obtained from derived small‐signal model shows good agreement in frequency response between the derived result and the experimental one spanning from the DC to the approaching half‐switching frequency.
