In this work, both the near‐field and far‐field optical properties of curved sides bowtie nano‐antenna are investigated in the near‐infrared range. The curvature of the proposed structure is based on the Vivaldi antenna tapering shape. The effect of tapering rate on the near‐field enhancement is studied, and the results show that the proposed antenna structure produces better field enhancement compared with conventional bowtie antenna with linear sides and hence it is promising for energy harvesting and microscopy applications. Also, the far‐field properties are studied to decide the validity of the structure in optical communication applications.
