A novel feedforward‐coupling ring oscillator (FRVCO) is presented. A comparative study in terms of oscillation frequency and phase noise is conducted between the proposed model and the traditional FRVCO. Due to the improved delay cell, high oscillation frequency, low phase noise and uniform multi‐phase output can be achieved. Compared with the traditional FRVCO, under the same design parameters, the FRVCO proposed in this Letter can increase the oscillation frequency by 10% while reducing the phase noise at 1 MHz by at least 10 dB.
