A broadband transition from a novel high‐isolation quasi‐TEM transmission line (TL) to microstrip line is presented. The proposed design exploits a gradual transition to ensure electric field transformation and impedance matching between two types of TLs. The prototype is designed using back‐to‐back configuration and fabricated. The measurement reveals maximum insertion loss of 1.4 dB and return loss better than 15 dB from 0.5 to 20 GHz.
