A novel filtering power divider (FPWD) with a quasi‐elliptic response based on the multilayer substrate integrated waveguide is presented. The odd‐symmetric fact of the TE 102 mode is applied to accomplish two contrary couplings with equal strengths. On the basis of the specially coupling topology, the FPWD can realise quasi‐elliptic response. An experimental sample is measured to verify the design methods, and the measured results account with the simulated ones well.
