To solve the significant performance degradation of existing algorithms in the impulsive noise environment, a novel blind equalisation method called robust adaptive weighted multi‐modulus algorithm is proposed in this Letter. The authors introduce an adaptive weight coefficient to suppress the effect of large output error in the weight updating process. Theoretical analysis indicates that the proposed algorithm can suppress the impulsive noise effectively. Moreover, it can accelerate the convergence speed. Simulation results illustrate the robust performance and fast convergence speed of the proposed algorithm under α‐stable noise environment.
