A novel unilateral right‐tail Anderson‐Darling (URAD) scheme by exploiting the characteristic of non‐symmetrical differences between theoretical cumulative distribution function (CDF) and empirical CDF is proposed. The theoretical performance of the proposed URAD is analysed. Numerical results are provided to verify the theoretical results and demonstrate the superior detection performance of URAD by comparing with the existing Anderson‐Darling schemes.
