Design approach of a novel wideband slotline antenna is proposed. An offset‐fed structure is applied to simultaneously excite the first three radiation modes within a slotline radiator, without introducing external less‐radiative resonant modes. By controlling the excitation of its full‐wavelength radiation mode, the proposed slotline antenna exhibits a frequency‐spatial steerable notch‐band characteristic in radiation gain within a wide‐impedance bandwidth.
