A fast transmit waveform design method for interference mitigation in simultaneous multibeam MIMO scheme is proposed. The method is aimed at generating a quasi‐optimal beampattern pointing at K targets simultaneously and suppressing J jammers with a set of transmission waveforms at the subpulse level. The subpulse waveforms are optimised by minimising the transmit power of synthesised beampattern at interference directions. Unlike the regular methods, only K subpulse waveforms with J weights are needed to design in this method, which can improve computational efficiency. Simulation results show the effectiveness and benefits of the proposed method.
