A novel two‐phase practical transmission scheme is proposed to exchange messages between the two users composing the two‐way relay channel. These two phases are the listening phase and the dynamic decode‐and‐forward phase. Then, the achievable rate region is derived in the case that the two users transmit and receive over orthogonal frequency bands. Some numerical results are obtained to confirm the theoretical results.
