A hybrid scheme of the double space‐time transmit diversity (DSTTD) and spatial modulation (SM) is proposed. The spectral efficiency of proposed scheme is twice that of DSTTD. Additional bits are transmitted by transmit antenna combinations of SM without widening the bandwidth. An optimised rotated constellation is also proposed according to the antenna combination to reduce inter‐channel interference.
