A compact dual‐band power divider based on a dual composite right/left‐handed transmission line is presented. The measured results show that for the presented power divider operating at 1.9 GHz with a 94.2% bandwidth (1.00–2.78 GHz) and at 6.6 GHz with a 12.9% bandwidth (6.25–7.10 GHz), in which the return loss is <−10 dB, the variation of measured |S21| and |S31| is within 3 ± 0.5 dB. Compared with the conventional transmission line power divider operating at 1.9 GHz, the presented one not only realises dual bands but also realises a 24% size reduction.
