Phase unwrapping techniques remove the modulus 2 π ambiguities of the wrapped phase. A robust phase unwrapping algorithm is proposed which reduces the probability of generating spurious phase jumps. Simulation results confirm that the new algorithm has better performance than the existing method at a low signal‐to‐noise ratio.
