A method for beam synthesis with arbitrarily configured transmitting pulsed antenna arrays based on the discrete Radon transform and its inverse is investigated. Remaining in the digital domain, by numerical means an optimal set of wave forms corresponding to the given array elements which allow for reconstruction of different time–space radiation masks is searched for. Simulation results are presented for the evaluation of the algorithm.
