The diamagnetically stabilised levitation of an NdFeB cube magnet over superconductors is reported. The achieved levitation height of 44 mm is about three times higher than in a comparable conventional superconducting levitation setup with flux pinning only. The extraordinary levitation height may offer new applications in the field of highly sensitive seismometers or force meters.
