Magnitude information and direction information are utilized to improve the spatiotemporal Kriging method in the step of variogram construction. Basement of spatiotemporal variogram construction is to calculate vector distance between time slices, and space slices. Criterions of vector distance to spatiotemporal variogram construction is discussed, and a new vector distance model considering both magnitude and direction information is proposed. Case study using data from National Network of Geomagnetic Observatories of China is carried out for cross validation. Results illustrate that the proposed model performs better in analyzing in the statistics of Mean absolute error (MAE) and Mean square error (MSE). The accuracy of spatiotemporal Kriging interpolation is improved with such an operation in vector distance.
