Background Sterilization by laparoscopic tubal electrocoagulation is a well‐known technique. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate pelvic blood flow velocimetry before and after laparoscopic tubal ligation and to determine hormonal profile. Methods Sixteen women underwent laparoscopic tubal electrocoagulation. Doppler studies of uterine, arcuate and ovarian arteries was performed at early follicular and midluteal phases at the cycles before and after the laparoscopic procedure. Serum blood samples were obtained concordantly. Results Mean maternal age at the time of procedure was 38 ± 8 years. No significant differences were noted between all the following parameters:Early Follicular Phase Midluteal PhasePre
