A case is reported in which enlarged, hyperechogenic lungs, ascites and polyhydramnios on prenatal ultrasound were indications of a partial tracheal agenesis and tracheo‐esophageal fistula. A review of the literature is given to assist clinicians in effectively counselling women in whom this ultrasound abnormality is detected.
