Summary Hydroxyurea (HU), a cytotoxic agent used in myeloproliferative disorders, has recently been introduced as an adjunct to combination anti‐retroviral therapy. We describe abnormal nail pigmentation in four HIV‐seropositive patients treated with HU and discuss the likely factors associated with its development.
