The process zone of a mode I fatigue crack is described asymptotically with damage coupled plastic constitutive relations. A parametric study is conducted to obtain the orders and angular distribution modes of stress, strain and damage fields, as well as the profiles of the related process zones. The fatigue crack growth rate is also formulated theoretically.
