The population of endoscopists who can perform biliopancreatic endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) has not been increasing as expected. To encourage young endoscopists to become more involved in biliopancreatic EUS, re‐assessment and establishment of a typology of typical EUS images obtained by transduodenal scanning is necessary. Standardization of the maneuver and interpretation of EUS images would help increase the number of skilled echoendoscopists.
