SUMMARY Two cases of occupational allergic contact dermatitis in plywood mill workers are presented. Although both patients thought they were allergic to sawdust, they were in fact allergic to a phenol‐formaldehyde resin used to bond the plywood sheets together. Both patients only developed their dermatitis when they came into contact with uncured glue.
