Thirteen monogenic morphological marker traits of lentil were analysed for their joint inheritance in 25 crosses. Only three traits showed linkage: Ert (for spreading‐erect growth habit), Gs (for brown‐green stem) and Bl (for brown‐green leaf). The recombination frequency between Bl and Gs was 14%, between Bl and Ert 34%, and between Gs and Ert 38%. Thus, the gene Bl is located between Ert and Gs.
