Tuberculosis continues to be a public health problem, especially in developing countries. It is responsible for 3 million deaths annually. 1 Cutaneous infection is distributed worldwide, with an increased incidence in temple environments. 2 In the USA, cutaneous tuberculosis comprises 0.14% of reported tuberculosis cases. 3 Here we report a case of cutaneous tuberculosis in a woman undergoing neural therapy. The therapy included periumbilical injections of procainamide and a substance called ‘machura’, which formed part of an “antihomotoxic” homeopathic treatment whose composition is unknown.
