Psychotherapy groups and cancer patient survival: chasing fool’s gold?

Increasingly, clinicians are reading literature concerning group interventions that examine group influences on the emotional well‐being and survival of cancer patients. This article focuses on reviewing the literature of randomized controlled trials (RCT) reported to examine survival rates among cancer patients involved in group interventions; it highlights some of the limitations seen in these past studies and suggests issues that researchers may need to consider in the future.
