Summary Elevated blood levels of IgG anti‐IgE are detectable in individuals exhibiting enhanced IgE production, namely those with allergic conditions and helminthic parasite infections. The fact that there are epitope‐specific subpopulations of autoanti‐IgE suggests that this autoantibody could potentially have multiple effects in immunological events involving IgE.
