Summary Isolated foetal mouse proislets are significantly less immunogenic than uncultured or 10‐day cultured foetal pancreas. In contrast to uncultured and 10‐day cultured foetal pancreas allografts which are acutely rejected, a proportion of proislet allografts show no evidence of rejection up to 12 weeks post‐transplantation.
