Summary Formalin‐fixed dog gastrointestinal tissues have been examined by indirect immunofluorescence with specific anti‐human‐gastrin globulin. Gastrin‐secreting (G) cells were found regularly in antral mucosa and in the proximal 3–4 cm of duodenum. Inconstant scanty G cells were located in the islets of the pancreatie tail. No G cells were detected in the body of the stomach, duodenum, jejunum, ileum or liver.
