Summary A method for the estimation of individual cobamides and cobin‐ amides in sheep rumen contents is described. After preliminary extraction and concentration, the cobamides and cobinamides were separated by high‐voltage paper ionophoresis and bioautographed with Escherichia coli 113‐3 . The amount of each analogue present was determined by measuring the surface area of growth zones on the bioautogram.
