Summary Mn Cl 2 , 5 mM, blocked the action potentials evoked by intra‐ cellular stimulation of the smooth muscle of mouse ves deferens. Junction potentials in response to stimulation of intramural nerve fibres were also depresssed but spontaneous junction potentials persisted in concentration of up to 10 mM Mn Cl 2 . These effects were reversible.
