Summary The pattern of saline elution of deoxyribonucleic acid prepared from cultured sheep macrophage cells is changed after these cells have been exposed to rat sperm. Reasons are discussed for believing that this altered pattern is due to the incorporation by the macrophage nucleus of sperm deoxyribonucleic acid in polymerised form.
