Summary Using an antiserum to bovine parathyroid hormone, the levels of parathyroid hormone in bovine plasma have been measured by radioimmunoassay. These ranged from 320 to 1840 μμg per ml. with a mean value of 937 μμg per ml. The results are very similar to those reported for cattle. Much less activity was found in plasma from other species. suggesting limited cross reactivity of the antiserum.
